With a potent blend of over a decade’s worth of experience working for brands such as Netflix, Hello Kitty, Barbour and Yale University, and a lifelong love of passionate people, SBC is a full-service creative consultancy helping brands with unique strategies borne from innovative thinking, and producing effective results.

 

The world doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and neither do our creative projects. I set up my business to address the urgent need in the licensing industry for commercial creative design and strategy that’s built upon the foundations of good relationships and client communication, and connects all those touchpoints to build them upwards. No matter which part of the creative process you’re currently at, it’s my pleasure to bring to the table a new pair of eyes, which simultaneously offer a fresh take whilst also fitting right in.

SBC - CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Hi I'm Sophie,

 

Expert creative director specialising in product design and creative solutions.

 

With over a decade’s worth of experience in the industry and a lifelong love of people, I relish helping businesses show up as irreplaceable additions to modern lives, and making their mark as one-of-a-kind names in an omni-channel world.

 

After graduating uni and beginning a stint in fashion and accessories with Adidas and their Y-3 brand, I moved into the licensing industry. I like to say I fell into it, but falling sounds like an unnerving feeling, whereas I knew this particular shift just felt totally right. 

 

Working on the brands, films and characters that had been my favourites growing up, such as Hello Kitty and Mr Men/Little Miss, and being part of the team bringing them to fans old and new across the world, was an absolute dream come true. Soon, this became an exciting, ever-evolving career spanning brands such as global studios like Netflix, Viacom, MGM, and Paramount, as well as smaller niche brands like House of Holland, Barbour, Hello Kitty, Designers Guild and Yale University. From this, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in all elements of creative strategy, its execution and how to help brands make their creative mark. It also means I have a specialist skillset in interpreting brands for different markets.

 

But the one thing I felt was still slightly lacking was a sense of deep connections - creative design and strategy that had solid foundations in good relationships and client services. So, In 2020 - a year in which connection became more important than ever, as it turned out - I set up Sophie Bloomfield Consultancy, to bridge that gap and work with more incredible businesses in bringing their brands to life.
